Infomerics Ratings has revised the bank facilities ratings for Som Distilleries & Breweries Limited and its subsidiary, Woodpecker Distilleries and Breweries Private Limited. The rating changes reflect the impact of the temporary suspension of operations at the Company's Bhopal plant.The long-term rating for the Company was revised to BBB from BBB+. Concurrently, the short-term rating was revised to A3+ from A2.
The revision comes as the company takes necessary steps toward resuming operations at the affected Bhopal facility. Management stated that they expect the ratings profile to improve once operations normalize.
