Optiemus Electronics to Locally Manufacture Quectel's Advanced Wireless Communication Modules in India​

Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) has established a strategic manufacturing partnership with Quectel IoT Technologies PTE LTD, a global provider of IoT and wireless communication technologies. This collaboration involves OEL locally producing advanced wireless communication modules in India, marking a significant step toward strengthening the nation's electronics manufacturing sector.

The arrangement dictates that Optiemus Electronics Limited will manufacture a portion of Quectel's portfolio at its state-of-the-art facilities located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The products include automotive, 5G, 4G, Cat-1, and other cellular modules. These locally produced modules are set to support diverse applications across IoT, telecom, energy management, smart mobility, industrial automation, telematics, and smart infrastructure.

The initiative supports the Government of India's Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision by enhancing supply-chain resilience and increasing localization for next-generation wireless technologies. Quectel’s modules are crucial components powering connected solutions used in vehicles, smart cities, advanced telecom networks, industrial systems, and energy management.

Ashok Gupta, Chairman of the Optiemus Group, commented on the partnership, stating that it reflects a shared commitment to building advanced manufacturing capabilities within India. He emphasized that by locally producing Quectel’s automotive and cellular modules, OEL is strengthening the domestic electronics ecosystem and supporting next-generation connectivity across IoT, telecom, and energy sectors.

Dinesh Patkar, Regional Sales Director for India at Quectel, added that the partnership positions the company to deliver high quality, locally manufactured modules tailored to the evolving needs of industries including automotive, smart mobility, energy, telecom, and industrial IoT. He noted that the collaboration not only accelerates time-to-market for customers in India but also aligns with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives to drive innovation and sustainable growth.

The partnership reinforces Optiemus Electronics Limited’s standing as a trusted electronics manufacturing partner globally, backed by capabilities in high precision manufacturing, localization, and scalable production. Quectel itself is described as a global end-to-end IoT solutions provider with worldwide support, offering products that span cellular, GNSS, satellite, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth modules.
