Hindustan Construction Company Limited Wins ~1,662 Crore GMLR Phase IV Contract in Joint Venture
Mumbai, March 19, 2026 – Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC) has secured a significant infrastructure contract valued at approximately ~1,662.27 crore from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the construction of Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Phase IV. The project has been awarded to the Aakshya-HCC Joint Venture, with HCC holding a 49% stake.The contract involves a two-stage construction process. Phase I includes the construction of a 1,330-meter flyover and 3,200 meters of at-grade road, alongside 2,620 meters of free-left at-grade road. Phase II entails the construction of a cloverleaf interchange and free-left bypasses at grade, encompassing a 2,400-meter cloverleaf loop and interchange, and 3,600 meters of free-left bypasses. The project also includes an obligatory 180-meter cable-stayed span and 270 meters of ramps.
The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road corridor, being developed by BMC, aims to improve east-west connectivity within Mumbai.
HCC, with nearly a century of engineering experience, has been involved in numerous landmark infrastructure projects in India, including contributions to hydro and nuclear power generation, expressways, highways, tunnels, and bridges. The company currently serves the transportation, power, and water infrastructure sectors.
