Mumbai: Konstelec Engineers Limited has established a strategic joint venture agreement with Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC). This partnership aims to jointly participate in the bidding process and subsequent execution of upcoming nuclear infrastructure projects in India, bolstering Konstelec's presence in the critical infrastructure sector.

The Joint Venture is focused on undertaking Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for nuclear infrastructure. The scope includes participation in tenders related to the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of isotope production reactor facilities. These projects also cover associated civil, electrical, mechanical, process, instrumentation & control, and auxiliary systems.

The venture operates as a strategic alignment between two companies with specialized expertise. Under the terms of the agreement, HCC will hold a 74% stake in the Joint Venture, while Konstelec Engineers Limited will hold the remaining 26% stake. By combining HCC's leadership in infrastructure execution with Konstelec's engineering and electrical EPC expertise, the partnership is positioned to pursue high-value nuclear opportunities within India's expanding energy ecosystem.

This development represents a significant step for Konstelec as it expands its focus on critical infrastructure projects and capitalizes on emerging opportunities within India's nuclear power sector.

Commenting on this strategic move, Mr. Amish Shah, Managing Director at Konstelec Engineers Limited stated that the formation of the Joint Venture is an important step in their efforts to participate in large-scale and technically advanced infrastructure projects. He added that the nuclear infrastructure segment provides a significant long-term opportunity, supported by India's growing focus on clean energy generation, allowing the company to leverage its engineering and execution capabilities for critical national development.
