Gokaldas Exports Posts 21% Growth in Q1FY27, Driven by African Market and Order Execution​

Gokaldas Exports Limited reported consolidated total income of ₹1,180 crores for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, marking a 21% year-over-year (YoY) increase. The company also registered an EBITDA of ₹139 crores, up 17% YoY.

The performance was bolstered by robust growth in the Africa business, which saw a 45% rise in volume following the AGOA renewal. Simultaneously, the India business grew by 16% YoY, attributing the increase to better order execution and realisations. This achievement comes against a backdrop where Indian apparel exports declined by 12% during the same period.

While EBITDA saw growth, margins remained steady at 11.8% for the quarter. The company noted that the benefit derived from operating leverage and productivity gains was offset by increases in wages and other factor costs.

Commenting on the Q1FY27 results, Mr. Sivaramakrishnan Ganapathi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Gokaldas Exports, stated that the strong income growth was a result of better order execution in India and high volume in Africa. He noted that the Company has exited penal tariffs and now operates with parity alongside global peers, enabling it to compete effectively. Looking ahead, he emphasized that focusing on productivity gains and maintaining a strong order book would be key for future growth and margin improvement.

Gokaldas Exports was established in 1979 and functions as a comprehensive solution provider for various global apparel brands. The company is one of India's largest manufacturers and exporters of apparel, serving more than 50 countries. With over 30 production units, the organization has the capacity to produce approximately 92 million garments annually, and its workforce exceeds 54,000 employees.

On Tuesday, Gokaldas Exports Limited shares slipped by 0.71% to settle at ₹788.95 in the market session. The equity saw a trade volume of 314,192 shares as it closed.
