Fiem Industries Releases Business Responsibility Report Detailing ESG Commitments, Operational Scale, and Workforce Metrics​

Fiem Industries Limited has detailed its operational scope and sustainability performance in its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the financial year 2025-26. The report outlines various aspects of the company’s manufacturing activities, human capital management, and environmental stewardship commitments across both its national and international markets.

Operational Scope and Products​

The company's primary business activity, accounting for 94.26% of turnover, is the manufacturing of Automotive Parts and Components. The products sold by Fiem Industries contribute to various segments of the automotive market, with Automotive Lights, signaling equipment and parts representing 75.08% of total turnover, followed by Automotive Rear View Mirror and Parts at 10.35%, and Automotive Plastic Moulded Parts at 8.83%.

The company operates a national presence across 24 states and has international exposure in 14 countries. Fiem Industries maintains 9 plants nationally and 3 offices internationally, totaling 13 locations for operations. Export contributions stand at 1.85% of the total turnover, serving Automobile OEMs and Aftermarket Dealers.

Workforce and Stakeholder Engagement​

As per the BRSR, Fiem Industries employed a total of 1,371 permanent employees in FY 2025-26, comprising 1,276 male and 95 female employees, representing a gender split of 93.07% and 6.93% respectively. The company also managed a workforce of 9,420 workers, with 5,380 males (57.11%) and 4,040 females (42.89%).

The company maintained commitment to training and awareness across its workforce, with coverage reaching 96.64% for employees and 98.55% for workers in Health and Safety measures during FY 2025-26. Furthermore, the management demonstrated that it has a focal point responsible for addressing human rights impacts, and Fiem Industries provides an internal mechanism to redress grievances related to human rights issues, which includes the Whistle Blower Policy/Vigil Mechanism.

In terms of corporate structure, Fiem Industries holds 100% shares in two subsidiaries, Fiem Industries Japan Co., Ltd. and Fiem Research & Technology S.R.L., and a 50% joint venture in Fiem Kyowa (HK) Mould Company Ltd.

ESG Performance: Environmental Stewardship​

The company’s environmental performance data highlights focus areas in energy and water management across its manufacturing facilities. Total electricity consumption for FY 2025-26 stood at 22,924.00 GJ. The entity's total water withdrawal was 57,459.58 KL for FY 2025-26, with the majority withdrawn from groundwater (53,484.94 KL).

In terms of emissions, Total Scope 1 emissions reached 2,794.47 MtCO2e in FY 2025-26, while Total Scope 2 emissions were recorded at 51,814.91 MtCO2e. The company successfully utilized its facilities for pollution control, with both the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act compliant in India.


Waste generated in FY 2025-26 totaled 4,540.19122 MT. This included 678.53069 MT of plastic waste and 38.50148 MT of Other Hazardous waste. The company practices waste segregation, with all hazardous waste being handed over to authorized recyclers for treatment.

Social and Governance Focus Areas​

Fiem Industries committed itself to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into core business operations, acknowledging that safety and environmental stewardship are key areas of focus. The management identified Employee Wellbeing, Energy Efficiency, Diversity and Inclusion, Innovation & Technology, and Corporate Social Responsibility as opportunities for the company.

In social aspects, the company’s initiatives included a Sanitary Pad Project across multiple locations. Over 10,000 persons benefited from these projects in Dehradun, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Kotdwar, and Saran. Additionally, an Eye Operation Camp was conducted in Kutch, Gujarat, benefitting 1,728 individuals.

Labor Practices and Ethical Compliance​

The report confirmed that the company’s Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Policy outlines ethical standards for all employees and management. Regarding labor welfare, Fiem Industries reported that 91.98% of permanent employees were covered by PF in FY 2025-26, while 99.77% of workers were similarly covered.

The company maintains a focus on safety, having processes for identifying work-related hazards through Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). The overall recordable work related injuries stood at 4 for employees in FY 2025-26 and 2 for workers over the same period. Furthermore, the company's commitment to sustainable supply chain practices includes assessing 19% of Value Chain Partners based on both Health and Safety practices and Working Conditions during the financial year.
