Endurance Technologies Ltd has announced that its manufacturing facility in Mindewadi, District Pune, Maharashtra, has commenced commercial production of Lithium Ion Battery packs. The launch marks a significant milestone as the company begins supplying these essential battery solutions to the market.

The new plant is currently operating with an initial capacity set at approximately 26,000 Lithium Ion Battery packs per month. The facility has been strategically designed with expansion in mind and can be scaled up to approximately 35,000 packs monthly. Future capacity additions are planned and will be initiated once the company secures further orders from its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers.

The establishment of this greenfield manufacturing plant was part of a strategic initiative by Endurance Technologies Ltd. The project involved an investment outlay estimated at approximately Rs 473 million, which was funded through internal accruals.

The Lithium Ion Battery packs produced are intended for various applications, including mobility and battery energy storage systems. This product launch extends the company's offering in this domain, complementing services currently provided by its subsidiary, Maxwell Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., which specializes in robust battery management systems. The initiative is aimed at meeting the growing demand within these critical sectors.
