Dredging Corporation of India Limited Extends Chairman’s Tenure at Visakhapatnam Port Authority
Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) announced an extension to the tenure of Dr. Madhaiyaan Angamuthu, IAS, as Chairman (Additional Charge) of Visakhapatnam Port Authority. The extension, effective March 25, 2026, is for a further period of six months or until the appointment of a regular Chairperson, whichever occurs first.Dr. Angamuthu initially assumed the additional charge of Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Authority on September 22, 2025, for a six-month period, as per a communication from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways dated September 22, 2025. The extension order, dated March 17, 2026, was conveyed to Dr. Angamuthu via email on March 25, 2026.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways approved the extension. This order is documented as Office Order No. 5/2026.
P. Chandra Kalabhinetri, Company Secretary for Dredging Corporation of India Limited, informed the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. and the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited of the extension.
