DCM Limited and GCD Prime Dispute: High Court Intervenes, Orders Status Quo on Hisar Project Land

DCM Limited's joint development project with GCD Prime concerning land in Hisar, Haryana, has seen a significant development in the legal battle. The Division Bench of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi issued an interim order directing that the effect and operation of a prior judgment be stayed and mandating the maintenance of status quo regarding the project land.

The dispute centers on the Joint Development Agreement (JDA) dated August 11, 2022, concerning DCM Limited's property measuring 68.35 acres in Village Bir, Sector-23, Hisar, Haryana. The terms of this agreement stipulated a profit-sharing model between the parties.

In light of ongoing matters related to the project’s licensing and approval status, DCM Limited previously issued a Notice of Forfeiture and Termination to GCD Prime on November 1, 2025. This notice followed the company's efforts to support the Developer in obtaining the revocation of a license that had been suspended by the Directorate General, Town and Country Planning, Haryana.

The matter subsequently proceeded through the courts. A judgment dated July 28, 2026, was pronounced by the Single Judge of the High Court regarding a petition filed by GCD Prime under Section 9 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996. This judgment has since been appealed by the Developer before the Division Bench of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi.
