Dalmia Cement Secures Letter of Intent for Bhilai Jaypee Cement Resolution​

Dalmia Bharat Limited announced that its wholly owned material subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, has secured a critical milestone in the resolution process for Bhilai Jaypee Cement Limited.

The company confirmed that the resolution plan submitted by Dalmia Cement for Bhilai Jaypee Cement Limited (BJCL), which operates under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, has been approved by the Committee of Creditors of BJCL. Consequently, Dalmia Cement received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from the Resolution Professional on July 28, 2026.

The proposed transaction involves assets held by Bhilai Jaypee Cement Limited. These assets include a Grinding Unit with capacity of 2.2 MnTPA located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, and a Clinker Unit with a 1.1 Mn TPA capacity situated in Babupur, Madhya Pradesh.

While the approval of the resolution plan marks significant progress, the transaction remains subject to further regulatory steps. The finalization of the deal is contingent upon receiving approval from the National Company Law Tribunal, Cuttack, along with other necessary regulatory authorities.

Shares of Dalmia Bharat Limited today slipped, closing down 0.63% after settling at ₹1811.2. The stock saw a traded volume of 154,391 shares during the market session.
