Cyient Limited, a global lifecycle engineering company, has elevated Andrew Smith to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). This strategic appointment is aimed at driving operational excellence and accelerating growth by focusing on superior customer outcomes. The move underscores Cyient’s commitment to integrating intelligence into its future growth strategy.

In his new role as COO, Andrew will be responsible for scaling next-generation delivery models, developing future-ready talent, and enhancing customer experiences through efficient operating models. He will spearhead efforts focused on improving execution agility and achieving excellence in customer-centric delivery across the organization.

Andrew brings over two decades of experience spanning engineering, operations, and business leadership across respected aerospace, transportation, and industrial organizations globally. Prior to joining Cyient, he held senior leadership positions at Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Bombardier Transportation, acquiring deep domain expertise in these critical industries. For the past nine years at Cyient, he has managed several leadership roles within the Transportation and Semiconductor businesses, successfully driving strategy, growth, and operational performance. He will continue to serve as Business Head – Transportation, overseeing the global business that serves customers operating in safety-critical and highly regulated environments.

Andrew holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and earned a First-Class Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
