CP Plus Parent Aditya Infotech Faces ₹30.86 Crore Customs Demand on 4G Router Imports; Plans Appeal

Noida, January 15, 2026: Aditya Infotech Limited, the parent company of surveillance brand CP Plus, has received an order imposing a cumulative financial demand of ₹30.86 crore in connection with the import of 4G routers, according to a disclosure made by the company on Thursday.
The order, dated January 13, 2026, was received by the company on January 14, 2026, and relates to the classification and duty treatment of imported 4G routers cleared earlier at nil basic duty along with applicable integrated tax.

Details of the Demand​

As per the order, the total amount raised aggregates to ₹30,85,75,666, excluding interest. This includes multiple components linked to differential duty and penalties. The authorities have taken the view that the imported products should be classified as devices used for accessing cellular internet using 4G LTE, attracting a higher duty structure.

Company’s Position​

Aditya Infotech stated that it believes the duty demand and associated penalties are not applicable and intends to challenge the order before the appropriate appellate authority. The company has maintained that the levy is not in line with its understanding of the applicable exemptions at the time of import.

The company clarified that, apart from the amount mentioned in the order, there is no material impact on its financial position or operational activities at this stage.
