The vessel carried 24 Indian crew members and was the target of the attack. Following the notification, the MRCC Mumbai immediately established critical communication with the Oman Maritime Search and Rescue Centre (OMSC). Continuous coordination was maintained with OMSC and other relevant stakeholders to monitor the volatile situation.

Successful Coordinated Rescue Operation​

The rescue efforts demonstrated highly effective international maritime cooperation in response to the attack. By approximately 1700 hours, the OMSC confirmed a successful operation. Helicopters from the Oman Navy were instrumental in locating and safely rescuing all 24 Indian crew members aboard the tanker.
