Competition Commission of India Approves Proposed Combination Involving Go Digit and Associated Entities​

The proposed combination involving FAL Corporation, Go Digit Infoworks Services Private Limited, and Go Digit General Insurance Limited has been approved by the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

The CCI granted approval for the combined entity on July 28, 2026. The decision was taken under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002, regarding the proposed combination.

This approval relates to a notice filed by FAL Corporation; Go Digit Infoworks Services Private Limited and Go Digit General Insurance Limited on May 12, 2026, under sub-section (2) of Section 6 of the Competition Act, 2002.

Go Digit General Insurance Limited confirmed that the CCI approval follows their previous communication concerning the proposed combination, which had previously been reported in April 2026. The company stated that the combination remains subject to various statutory and regulatory approvals, including those from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), IRDAI, the Competition Commission of India (CCI), and shareholders.

The CCI's official order regarding this approval is yet to be released, with subsequent steps as per the process outlined.

Go Digit General Insurance Limited's stock edged higher today, settling at ₹253.15 after rallying by 2.83%. The equity saw strong activity in the session, trading across a range defined by a day low of ₹245 and recording a volume of 965,451 shares.
