
Punjab National Bank Board Approves Foreign Currency Funds Raise of Up To USD 1.5 Billion
The Board of Directors of Punjab National Bank has approved a significant move to raise foreign currency funds through the establishment of a Medium-Term Note (MTN) Programme. The approval was granted during the Board meeting held on July 29, 2026.Under this initiative, PNB is authorized to raise up to USD 1.5 billion. This funding structure involves the issuance of bonds under the approved MTN Programme.
The capital raising will be managed through PNB IFSC Banking Unit GIFT City. The Bank’s Board meeting commenced at 01:00 p.m. and concluded at 07:00 p.m. on the date of approval.
