Operational Highlights and Market Strategy

V. Srinivasan, Executive Chairman of eMudhra Limited, commented on the Q1 results, noting that the company started FY27 with a healthy note, driven by strong growth in its Enterprise Solutions business both domestically and internationally.

In Europe, the Cryptas platform is facilitating synergies for emSigner and Certinext as marquee customers are acquired through it. Looking ahead, eMudhra plans to launch Trust Services in the UAE during Q2/Q3 FY27, aiming to sell eSign and related offerings to new and existing clients there. The company also detailed advanced discussions with large regulated public sector and defense entities in Kazakhstan regarding SecurePass and Certinext.

Globally, the industry trends—including the rise of agentic AI, the move toward 47-day certificate validity, and postquantum migration—are translating into increased demand for Enterprise Solutions across eMudhra's presence and partner network.

In India, the Trust Services business saw a temporary impact due to a supply chain gap following a CCA-mandated shift to a higher token security standard; however, management expects this issue to normalize starting in Q3 FY27. Despite this, the eSign business maintained steady penetration across Indian customer segments.

The company noted that the implementation of India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act is providing a defined timeline for enterprises to implement data-governance mechanisms. This timeline validates the development of PrivaTrust, eMudhra's data-privacy platform.

Product Innovations and Milestones

eMudhra's product stack—which includes emCA, Certinext, SecurePass, emSigner, and PrivaTrust—saw several significant capability additions in Q1 FY27:

  • Certinext: Added Cryptography Bill of Materials (CBOM) analysis to provide customers visibility into cryptographic usage ahead of post-quantum migration.
  • emCA: Shipped PQC-ready issuance support.
  • SecurePass: Introduced crosscloud federation.
  • emSigner: Launched AI-based document summarisation and risk scoring.

PrivaTrust achieved its first commercial milestone as consent management and vendor-consent modules went live, paving the way for a Data Privacy commercial focus. The roadmap for PrivaTrust includes data discovery, classification, and DSAR automation, aligning with India's DPDP Act milestones targeted for May 2027.

Revenue Mix and Key Wins

The revenue mix in Q1 FY27 was diversified: Enterprise Solutions accounted for approximately 65% of total revenue (up about 50% year-on-year), Trust Services represented roughly 15%, and Services contributed about 20%. International revenue made up 66% of the quarter's total.

The company highlighted several key project wins demonstrating market penetration:

  • A large Government Tax Department in India signed for SecurePass, and a major Indian bank onboarded emSigner.
  • Significant deals included a certificate lifecycle management agreement with a UAE Police Authority and an emSigner deployment for a hospital in the Middle East.
  • eMudhra secured its first enterprise customer in Austria—a government entity—and landed a large German data-centre client for workforce identity and certificate lifecycle management.
  • A large Asian Pacific government insurer and Department of Social Welfare adopted emSigner.

The UAE data centre was completed, and the company's QTSP services are nearing licence application with the local regulator (TDRA), preceding the planned Q2/Q3 FY27 launch of UAE Trust Services. eMudhra also received recognition as 'Competitive Strategy Leader' in the Global PKI -as-a-Service market by Frost & Sullivan (2025 Best Practices report).
