Participants in the anchor book included Tata AIA Life Insurance Company, PineBridge Global Funds, Amicorp Capital (Mauritius) Ltd, WhiteOak Capital, and Bandhan Mutual Fund. The company allotted 31.75 lakh equity shares to anchor investors at Rs 285 per share.

Future Growth Catalysts and Use of Proceeds​

Behari Lal Engineering is planning a strategic use of the funds raised from the fresh issue. The proceeds will be dedicated to purchasing and installing advanced equipment and machinery, including computers and peripherals, alongside necessary civil works expansion across its manufacturing facilities.

Furthermore, company funds are earmarked for the installation of rooftop solar panels at both operational sites. A portion of the capital infusion will also go towards the repayment or pre-payment of certain borrowings, as well as general corporate purposes.

SBI Securities echoed this sentiment, recommending investors to subscribe to the IPO. They highlighted that Behari Lal Engineering operates as one of India’s largest metal roll producers. The analysts pointed out the company's focus on expanding its share of higher-value products combined with expanded capacities is set to drive improved profitability at scale.

Operational Landscape and IPO Timeline​

Behari Lal Engineering currently operates two manufacturing facilities located in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. Recently, the company commenced construction of a third facility in Fatehgarh Sahib district. The core business includes manufacturing metal rolls, engineering castings, alloy steel products, and forging ingots for sectors such as power and heavy engineering.

The allotment of shares for the Behari Lal Engineering IPO is scheduled to be finalized on August 17, 2026. The company’s listing on both the NSE and BSE is expected on August 19, 2026. Emkay Global Financial Services Ltd. serves as the book-running lead manager, while MUFG Intime India Pvt. Ltd. acts as the registrar for the issue.
