Bajaj Electricals Reports Favorable Appeal Order on GST Demand​

Bajaj Electricals Limited has received an updated ruling regarding a Goods and Services Tax (GST) assessment. The company confirmed the receipt of a favorable Appeal Order on April 22, 2026, from the Joint Commissioner, Secunderabad, Telangana, addressing a previous GST demand raised by the GST Authority.

The matter originated from an assessment order dated April 30, 2024, issued by the Deputy Commissioner, STU-1, Secunderabad, Telangana, under Section 73 of the GST Act, 2017. This initial order had raised a total demand of Rs. 83.78 lakh, which included a general penalty of Rs. 8.38 lakh, concerning an alleged disallowance of GST input credit for the financial year 2018-19.

Following the appeal process, the Appellate Authority considered the submissions made by the Company. Bajaj Electricals Limited reported that the Appellate Authority issued the revised order with a significantly reduced total demand.
