Godawari New Energy Secures Supply Agreement for 20 GWII Battery Energy Storage System
Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, has formalized a major Supply Agreement with Shanghai Shenyi Roche Energy Technology Limited (Roche Energy). The agreement is pivotal for the development of the first phase of GNEPL's 20 GWII Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant located in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.The agreement outlines the supply of Balance of System for a 5 Mwh DC Block on CKD basis to GNEPL. The signed copy of the agreement was received on 23.04.2026.
Roche Energy, a company incorporated in the Republic of China, specializes in BESS product design, manufacturing, material supply, and technology support, covering the entire Balance of System except LFP Cells. The firm excels in providing integrated solutions for a wide range of energy storage systems and is proficient in managing the complete lifecycle of energy storage products, from initial design through production.
This partnership with Roche Energy is noted as a significant milestone for the manufacturing of BESS at GNEPL. The supply agreement is anticipated to provide crucial benefits by securing a stable, reliable, and cost effective supply chain, ensuring consistent quality for the company's operations.
