
Akums Drugs Posts Robust Q1 FY27 Results, Reporting 13.9% Revenue Growth and Strong CDMO Performance
New Delhi, August 2026: Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) in India, announced its consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported healthy increases across revenue, operating profitability, and PAT, attributing the growth to continued momentum in its CDMO business, improved operating performance, and stable customer demand.The company recorded operating revenue of ₹1,167 crore in Q1 FY27, marking a 13.9% year-on-year increase compared to the ₹1,024 crore reported in Q1 FY26. EBITDA rose by 35.4% year-on-year, reaching ₹175 crore. This increase saw the EBITDA margin improve to 15.0%, up from 12.6%. Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹101 crore, up from ₹65 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The PAT margin also improved to 8.4% from 6.2%.
The CDMO segment was highlighted as a key driver of growth during the quarter. CDMO revenue increased to ₹964 crore, up from ₹813 crore in Q1 FY26. Correspondingly, CDMO EBITDA grew 36.8% year-on-year to ₹163 crore, supported by continued volume growth and improvements in API prices.
