Airtel Strengthens Network Readiness Across Odisha Ahead of Puri Rath Yatra
Bharti Airtel, a leading telecommunications provider in India, has announced the successful completion of a comprehensive network enhancement program throughout Odisha, specifically focusing on ensuring uninterrupted service during the major Puri Rath Yatra.Recognizing the substantial surge in voice and data traffic expected during the annual festival, Airtel proactively fortified its network infrastructure across Puri. The enhancements cover all significant road and rail corridors leading to the holy city, equipped with 5G technology. This preparation aims to effectively manage anticipated demand and guarantee reliable high-speed data and voice connectivity for customers.
Over the last twelve months, the company significantly expanded its presence in the state. Airtel has deployed over 1,500 new 5G sites across Odisha's 30 districts. These deployments are set to enable dependable high-speed connectivity for more than 11 million customers residing in urban centers, emerging towns, and rural communities alike.
Abhirup Chatterjee, COO of Bharti Airtel, stated that ensuring seamless connectivity during the event is a top priority given that Puri Rath Yatra attracts millions of devotees domestically and internationally. He added that these investments reaffirm Airtel's dedication to providing a reliable and superior network experience throughout the celebrations.
In addition to infrastructure improvements, Airtel Odisha has introduced Fully Unlimited Packs aimed at enhancing the customer experience. Starting from ₹ 399, these prepaid packs offer unlimited 4G and 5G data and calls for all smartphone users, allowing customers to stream content, work remotely, or stay connected without concern over daily limits.
