Airtel Launches Priority Postpaid, Leveraging 5G Slicing for Superior Customer Experience

Bharti Airtel Limited has announced the launch of Priority Postpaid, a new service designed to deliver a superior and more consistent network experience to its postpaid customers. The service utilizes advanced 5G slicing technology, catering specifically to busy customers who rely on uninterrupted connectivity for professional work, entertainment, and online collaboration.

Airtel upgraded its 5G network with advanced slicing technology capabilities. This development enhances network efficiency, increases overall capacity, and allows for targeted use of this capacity to ensure a reliable experience for Priority customers. By intelligently and dynamically segmenting network capacity, Airtel provides a stable and dependable service for postpaid customers, even during periods of high traffic demand.

The launch marks a significant technological milestone for the company. Over the past year, slicing based 5G services have been launched in multiple countries, including the USA, Singapore, United Kingdom, and Malaysia. Airtel’s introduction of this service is notable as the first such launch in India, reinforcing Airtel's commitment to building a resilient, smart, and future-ready digital network.

Shashwat Sharma, MD & CEO of Airtel, commented on the launch, stating, "Our focus at Airtel is on delivering meaningful innovations that enhance our customers' experience. Priority Postpaid is our latest innovation powered by the 5G slicing technology. It provides a superior, more reliable, and dependable experience to our customers - whether they are attending a client call in traffic, or streaming at a packed concert, or booking a cab in a crowded market."
