Zen Technologies Unveils India's First AI-Powered Fully Integrated Anti-Drone System

Amid escalating drone-led warfare across global conflict zones, Zen Technologies, a leader in next-generation anti-drone systems, launched India's first modular, AI-powered counterdrone platform at the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj. The system is designed to address the rapidly evolving threat landscape presented by low-cost FPVs and coordinated swarm attacks, which have proven capable of bypassing traditional air defence systems.

The newly unveiled platform is fully indigenously designed and developed, marking a significant milestone in India's pursuit of defence self-reliance and sovereign intellectual property creation in critical battlefield technologies.

Advanced Anti-Drone Capabilities

Zen Technologies' latest anti-drone system integrates multiple advanced capabilities for comprehensive threat neutralization. The platform features full-spectrum frequency dominance, covering a wideband range of 70 MHz to 12 GHz, enabling detection and disruption across diverse drone communication channels.

Key operational specifications include:
FeatureCapabilityDetails
Detection RangeExtended Surveillance15+ km detection range, tracking up to 100+ drones simultaneously.
Radar SystemHigh-Sensitivity Indigenous RadarUp to 20 km range, designed to detect smaller, low-RCS drones early.
Layered NeutralizationArchitectureIncludes RF jamming, GNSS jamming/spoofing, RCWS (12.7/7.62 mm) integration, air defence guns, and kamikaze interceptors.
Command CoreData Fusion & Command CentreIntelligent center that integrates multiple sensor inputs and uses advanced algorithms for precise threat classification, tracking, and response.

Versatile Deployment Solutions

The platform is engineered with a multi-configuration deployment capability, allowing for seamless integration across three distinct operational environments:

  • Vehicle-Mounted Configuration: Integrated onto tactical vehicles and mobile platforms, this setup facilitates rapid deployment, convoy protection, and mobile area defence in dynamic battlefield environments.
  • Man-Portable Configuration: A lightweight, rugged, and mission-ready system designed for dismounted soldiers, enabling quick detection and neutralization during patrols and counter-insurgency operations.
  • Fixed (Stationary) Configuration: Deployed for the continuous 24/7 protection of critical infrastructure, military bases, and high-value assets in both military and civilian jurisdictions.

Ashok Atluri, Chairman and Managing Director of Zen Technologies, stated that the launch reinforces the company’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge indigenous defence technologies. He noted that the platform is a decisive response to the shift in drone warfare, offering enhanced survivability and mission assurance for armed forces in an increasingly contested battlespace. He further mentioned that the AI-powered anti-drone platform was developed under the IDDM framework with full intellectual property ownership.
