Welspun's Subsidiary Signs Sub-Concession Agreement for Major Highway Corridor Project in Maharashtra​

Welspun Pune Shirur Projects Limited (WPSPL), a subsidiary of Welspun Enterprises Ltd., has executed a sub-concession agreement with the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MSIDC) and the Government of Maharashtra (GOM). The agreement was finalized on July 13, 2026.

The project involves the construction of a major infrastructure asset: a 6-Lane Partially Elevated Highway Corridor along with the improvement of an existing road section in Maharashtra. This vital piece of infrastructure spans from Km 10+600 to Km 64+000 (Section: Pune to Shirur) and represents a Minimum Design Length of 53.40 Km on NH-753F.

The highway project is structured under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) Toll Mode. WPSPL’s commitment for this project stands at approximately Rs. 7,300 Crore. The agreement stipulates a total Sub-Concession Period of 29 years, subject to potential extension terms, which includes a Construction period of 4 years starting from the Appointed Date.

In addition to the operational update, WPSPL has confirmed that the trading window for Designated Persons involved in the project has been closed since July 01, 2026. This trading period will be reopened 48 hours after the declaration of unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
