Vivek Nishant Nath Appointed Director (Commercial) on Board of NMDC Steel Ltd.
Shri Vivek Nishant Nath has been appointed as the Director (Commercial) on the Board of NMDC Steel Limited by the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. The appointment was communicated via an order dated 14.07.2026.The appointment comes from his role as Chief General Manager at Odisha Mining Corporation Limited. According to the communication, the position is set for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
The Ministry of Steel (MoS) had previously directed that the CMD and Functional Directors, along with Government Directors of NMDC Limited, would also serve in corresponding capacities at NMDC Steel Limited on a co-terminus basis. This directive was originally intimated by the MoS through an order dated 20.03.2023.
Consequently, Shri Vivek Nishant Nath is set to assume the role of Director (Commercial) for NMDC Steel Limited, contingent upon assuming charge as stipulated in the Ministry of Steel's Order dated 14.07.2026.
