Virtual Galaxy Infotech Secures Cyber Security Operations Centre Contract from BDCC Bank

Virtual Galaxy Infotech Limited, a technology solutions provider for the Banking and Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector, has secured an order from The Buldana District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. (BDCC Bank). The contract involves the deployment and managed operations of Virtual Galaxy’s Cyber Security Operations Centre (C-SOC) Platform-as-a-Service (SaaS).

The comprehensive engagement covers several advanced security domains, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA), Threat Intelligence, IT Service Management (ITSM), and 24x7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) monitoring.

This new service contract strengthens the long-standing relationship between the two organizations. BDCC Bank has been a client of Virtual Galaxy Infotech since 2014, having successfully utilized the company's E-Banker Core Banking Solution for more than ten years. The latest engagement underscores the Bank’s sustained trust in Virtual Galaxy Infotech’s technology capabilities and highlights the Company’s capacity to support clients through various stages of their digital transformation journey.

Cyber Sentinel, Virtual Galaxy's next-generation AI-powered cybersecurity platform, was recently awarded the prestigious TECHNOVITI 2026 Award by Banking Frontiers for its innovations in AI-powered cybersecurity within the BFSI sector. The platform is designed to deliver enterprise security through a unified architecture that integrates SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, Threat Intelligence, Compliance Management, and advanced security analytics. This capability allows financial institutions to enhance cyber resilience, improve threat visibility, and automate incident response across hybrid technology environments.

"BDCC Bank has been our trusted customer for over a decade. Their decision to extend this relationship by adopting our Cyber Sentinel-powered C-SOC platform reflects the confidence they have built in our technology, delivery capabilities and long-term commitment," commented Avinash Shende, Chairman, Executive Director and CFO of Virtual Galaxy Infotech Limited. He added that, following the TECHNOVITI 2026 Award, this engagement validates the cybersecurity portfolio and supports the strategy to expand recurring SaaS and managed security services in the BFSI sector.

The contract aligns with Virtual Galaxy’s strategy to broaden its offerings within its existing client base by providing complementary technology platforms beyond core banking solutions. The company views these opportunities as a key avenue for extending advanced services—including cybersecurity, digital payments, artificial intelligence, and enterprise automation solutions—across its clientele.

Globally, India's cybersecurity market is experiencing steady growth, fueled by increasing digital adoption across banks, cooperative banks, NBFCs, and government departments. Rising cyber threats, combined with stringent regulatory expectations, are accelerating investments in managed security services and Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities across the sector.
