VIDA, powered by Hero MotoCorp, has introduced the new long-range VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh, strengthening its electric lineup and achieving a historic milestone in the transportation sector. The variant secured a place in the Asia Book of Records for the 'Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter,' demonstrating exceptional endurance.

The VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh is designed to accelerate the brand's vision of 'GHAR GHAR EVOOTER.' This long-range addition brings VIDA’s total offering to four distinct VX2 variants, catering to varied rider needs in India. Priced at INR 1,43,990 in New Delhi (effective ex-showroom price, less PMED subsidy and offers), the scooter features a battery capacity of 4.4 kWh, provided through dual 2.2 kWh removable units.

The new variant boasts an IDC-certified range of 187 km, establishing a benchmark for long-distance electric scooter travel in Asia. Performance specifications include a top speed of 90 km/h and 26 Nm of torque, backed by a peak power of 6 kW.

The launch was underscored by an extraordinary expedition that culminated in the scooter securing its place in the Asia Book of Records. The VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh completed a continuous 52-day ride covering 12,111 km. This journey began in Bengaluru and concluded in Delhi, traversing all KKR match host cities, successfully validating the vehicle's reliability and endurance.

Beyond performance metrics, riders are supported by VIDA's expansive infrastructure, which includes over 6,000 fast charging stations and 700+ service touchpoints nationwide. The company is also introducing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans to maintain flexibility in electric mobility adoption.

Speaking on the launch, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer of the Emerging Mobility Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, stated that "The demand for longer, uninterrupted journeys and faster charging is a critical requirement for EV adoption." She added that by expanding its portfolio, Hero MotoCorp is ensuring that 'GHAR GHAR EVOOTER' provides tailored choices backed by proven engineering durability.

The VIDA VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh will be available across authorized dealerships nationwide starting by the end of July 2026.
