Focus on Decarbonization and Resource Management​

Uflex has placed a strong emphasis on sustainable practices, particularly in energy management and waste reduction across its operations.

The company reported that the Dharwad plant saw a substantial 56% increase in renewable energy consumption compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the share of renewable energy in total electricity consumption for India operations increased from 6% to 11%. The Panipat plant achieved a 17% increase in biomass consumption during FY 2025-26.

In waste management, Uflex reported generating 39,216 MT of total waste in FY 2025-26. Significant portions of this generation included 19,251.69 MT of plastic waste and 2,430.63 MT of other hazardous waste. The company processes 32,704 MT of waste through recycling, re-using, or other recovery operations.

Product Innovation and Supply Chain Responsibility​

The report details several sustainable innovations within the organization's product portfolio:
  • Sustainable Products: Uflex introduced FSSAI-compliant single-pellet rPET resin for foodgrade packaging and developed advanced sustainable PCR-based packaging films.
  • Eco-Friendly Production: In FY 2025-26, through its Chemicals Business, the company produced and sold 12,015 MT of eco-friendly products.

In terms of supply chain management, Uflex reports that 48% of its total input was sourced sustainably. The company also demonstrated commitment to local economies by sourcing 6.50% of inputs from MSMEs/small producers in FY 2025-26 and ensuring 79.60% of materials were sourced directly from India.

Workforce and Governance​
