Trump Says US Defense Firms Agree to Quadruple Production of Weapons Amid Ongoing Iran Conflict

US President Donald Trump states that major American defense manufacturing companies have agreed to significantly expand weapons production, aiming to rapidly increase the supply of what he described as “high quality” weaponry.

The announcement comes as the conflict involving the United States and Iran continues to intensify, entering its eighth day with ongoing military operations.

Trump Holds Meeting With Major Defense Manufacturers

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, President Trump says he recently held a meeting with the largest defense manufacturing companies in the United States to discuss production capacity and schedules.

According to Trump, the meeting focused on accelerating output to meet rising military requirements. He describes the discussion as “very productive” and states that companies agreed to expand manufacturing efforts.

Trump says the defense firms have committed to quadrupling the production of high quality weapons in order to reach the highest possible quantities as quickly as possible.

Expansion of Production Already Underway

Trump notes that the expansion in manufacturing had already begun around three months before the meeting. He says facilities are being set up and production of several weapons systems is already underway.

The president also claims that the United States currently has what he describes as a virtually unlimited supply of medium and upper medium grade munitions.

According to Trump, such munitions are being used in military operations, including in Iran, and were recently used in Venezuela. He adds that orders for these categories of weapons have also been increased.

Conflict With Iran Enters Eighth Day

The announcement on defense production comes as the US Iran conflict enters its eighth day. Washington continues military operations while Israeli forces also carry out strikes.

On Friday, March 6, President Trump calls for Iran’s unconditional surrender, signaling a further escalation in rhetoric as the military campaign continues.

Trump Says Campaign Could Last Several Weeks

In separate remarks, Trump indicates that the ongoing campaign could last four to five weeks. However, he warns that the timeline could extend depending on how the situation develops.

The comments highlight the possibility of a prolonged conflict as military operations continue in the region.
