Project Details and Timeline​

The project outlines a Build-Own-Operate Transfer model for providing transmission services. The Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) is set thirty months after the SPV transfer. The Transmission Service Agreement period is 35 years.

Key components of the project include:
  • Line Construction: Constructing approx. 250 km of line route, which encompasses 400 kV D/C line, 220 kV D/C line, and 220 kV Underground cable. This includes the route from Ryapte AIS Sub-station to proposed 400/220 kV Doddathaggalli GIS S/s, along with connecting lines near Kolar and Ekarajapura.
  • Substation Establishment: Establishing a 5x500 MVA, 400/220 kV S/s at Ryapte in Tumkur District (alongside 2x125MVAr 400 kV Bus Reactors) and a 3X500 MVA, 400/220kV GIS sub-station at Doddathaggalli near Hosakote (alongside 2x125 MVA, 400 kV Bus Reactors).

The Annual Transmission Charges for this project have been set at ₹ 521.07 crore. The award grants the company a service period of 35 years.
