Symphony Ltd Highlights Significant Progress in Climate Action and Social Equity in Sustainability Report 2025-26

Symphony Limited has released its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the financial year 2025-26, detailing substantial progress across environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The report underscores the company's commitment to balancing growth with accountability as it continues to evolve into a resilient, multi-season comfort solutions provider.

The company reported significant advancements in climate action and product lifecycle management. Symphony expanded its greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting framework to include a comprehensive Scope 3 assessment covering relevant categories of the business model. The focus on design has led to accelerated product innovation aimed at reducing energy consumption during usage, directly addressing the largest component of its lifecycle footprint.

In terms of environmental sustainability, the company increased the share of reprocessed, non-virgin content in its raw materials from 10% to 26%. Ecosystem commitment was demonstrated through a large-scale plantation initiative across Asana and Antarnes villages in North Gujarat, resulting in the planting and sustenance of 22,491 saplings. Together with developments at Thol and the corporate headquarters, these efforts contributed an estimated reduction of 1715.06 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

A focus on circularity also informed operational processes. E-waste generated from end-of-life products was recycled in quantities totaling 4,425 MT in FY 2025-26, while 149 MT of plastic packaging waste was successfully recycled through authorized channels. The company continues to pursue responsible resource utilization and waste minimization using the principles of Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Recover (5Rs).

Social Impact and Responsible Sourcing

Symphony's social commitment remained a priority throughout the year. CSR programs reached over 29,000 beneficiaries, concentrating on vulnerable and marginalized groups across areas including preventive healthcare, education for differently-abled children, care for the elderly, and sports promotion.

The company also strengthened its supply chain relationships, with the percentage of input material sourced directly from MSMEs and small producers rising significantly from 51% to 73%. The sourcing directly within India increased from 91% to 96.6%, deepening the company's roots in local and inclusive supply chains.

At the corporate governance level, women representation on the Board of Directors stood at 42.86%, up from 33% in the previous year. Furthermore, gross wages paid to females constituted 3.53% of total wages for FY 2025-26, showing an increase compared to the previous year.

Operational and Market Overview

The company continues to operate on an asset-light and capital-efficient business model, with its core activities covering the research, design, development, marketing, trading, and distribution of air coolers, tower fans, water heaters, and related spares. Symphony serves a diversified customer base across household, commercial, and industrial segments.

The company reported a 67% reduction in customer complaints during the year, reflecting a concerted effort towards improving service responsiveness and product quality.
