Sumeet Industries Limited, a leading integrated polyester manufacturer specializing in Pet Chips, Partially Oriented Yarn (POY), Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY), and Polyester Texturized Yarn, has successfully completed its rights issue. The company raised ₹199.75 Cr by allotting 16,84,24,217 Equity Shares of face value ₹2 each at an issue price of ₹11.86 per share.The rights issue was offered to eligible shareholders in the ratio of 8 Rights Equity Shares for every 25 fully paid-up Equity Shares held. The issue remained open from June 22, 2026, to July 20, 2026.
The capital increase strengthens the company's financial foundation and provides necessary resources to execute strategic growth initiatives in manufacturing expansion, operational efficiency, and balance sheet strengthening.

The net proceeds from the rights issue are allocated across several strategic areas:- ₹100.00 Cr: To strengthen working capital and support raw material procurement for higher production levels.
- ₹49.90 Cr: For general corporate purposes, specifically for the operationalization and integration of the CP Plant acquired from Nakoda Limited (Under Liquidation).
- ₹23.00 Cr: Towards prepayment of borrowings to improve financial flexibility.
- ₹22.00 Cr: For setting up a 6.5 MW captive solar power plant to ensure energy security and support sustainable manufacturing operations.
Nakoda CP Plant Accelerates Capacity Growth
As part of its long-term strategy, Sumeet Industries Limited acquired the Nakoda CP Plant under liquidation from Nakoda Limited, located in Surat, Gujarat. The company plans to modify and recommission this facility during Q1 FY27-28.The plant possesses an installed manufacturing capacity of 140,000 TPA for Bottle Grade PET Chips. Upon commissioning, the facility is expected to approximately double Sumeet Industries' existing production capacity, thereby enhancing backward integration, improving manufacturing scale, and supporting future revenue growth.
