Stock Exchanges Impose Fine on HMT Limited Over Delayed Financial Results
HMT Limited has received notices from both BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) regarding a fine imposed for the failure to submit financial results in compliance with regulatory requirements. The fine amounts set by the exchanges relate to the quarter or financial year ended March 31, 2026.The notice specifies that each stock exchange is imposing a fine of Rs. 1,71,100 (inclusive of GST) for non-compliance with Regulation 33 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 concerning the non-submission of financial results within the prescribed period. The notifications also noted that the fine amount is subject to increase daily until compliance is achieved.
In response to this matter, HMT Limited has indicated it is in the process of applying for a waiver of these imposed fines, as per the Stock Exchanges' SOP Circulars.
The company stated that its operations include units across India and consolidation of accounts and audits are advancing. HMT was unable to submit the Audited Financial Results (Standalone and Consolidated) for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026, by the deadline of May 30, 2026. Efforts are currently underway to submit the financial results at the earliest opportunity.
