Steel Authority of India Ltd. Announces Leadership Changes​

New Delhi – Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) announced changes to its board leadership, effective April 1, 2026. Shri Amarendu Prakash, Chairman and Managing Director, resigned from his position, as previously communicated in a letter dated January 2, 2026, to the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. The resignation was approved, and he has ceased to be a member of the SAIL Board.

Krishna Kumar Singh, Director (Personnel), has been given the additional charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director for a period of three months, from April 2, 2026, to July 1, 2026, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, whichever occurs first.
