His expertise spans strategic management, operations, project execution, technology, and industrial processes.
Prior to taking on his role at HZL, Mr. Prakash served as the Chairman & Managing Director of SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited). During his tenure at SAIL, he was instrumental in spearheading the organization's transformation agenda, focusing on capacity expansion, operational excellence, digitalization initiatives, and sustainability projects.
His leadership history includes holding several key positions within SAIL. Mr. Prakash also served as Director (InCharge) of both Burnpur and Bokaro Steel Plants. A Metallurgical Engineer from BIT Sindri, he joined SAIL in 1991, where he played a crucial role in shaping the organization's growth and competitiveness.
