Steel Authority of India Limited Appoints T.N. Natarajan as Director (Commercial)
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) announced the appointment of Shri T.N. Natarajan as Director (Commercial) on March 19, 2026. The appointment follows a nomination by the Government of India’s Ministry of Steel and approval by the company’s Board of Directors.Shri Natarajan, currently Chief General Manager at SAIL, is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any SEBI order or other authority.
Shri Natarajan joined SAIL in 1993 as a Management Trainee at Bhilai Steel Plant and brings over 32 years of diversified experience in production, logistics, and sales. His career includes roles as Warehouse Manager, Branch Manager, Key Account Manager, and Regional Manager of Western Region.
During his tenure as Regional Manager, initiatives led by Shri Natarajan resulted in improved market share of SAIL across Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, and growth in Fabrication, Earthmoving Equipment, Pre-Engineered Buildings, and Oil & Gas segments.
Shri Natarajan has been instrumental in shifting SAIL's marketing approach to a solution-oriented engagement, including the establishment of SAIL's first Ready-to-Use TMT Service Centre at Kalamboli.
