Spice Islands Industries Forms Joint Venture with Peace Mission for New Functional Beverage Line "PEACE ROGERS"

Spice Islands Industries Ltd, previously known as Spice Islands Apparels Limited, has announced a significant expansion into the functional wellness beverage sector. The company's Board of Directors approved the execution of a Joint Venture Agreement with The Peace Mission Private Limited to develop and commercialize a new product line under the proprietary brand name "PEACE ROGERS."

The collaboration establishes a strategic business alliance aimed at the development, manufacturing, branding, marketing, distribution, and nationwide and international commercialization of the specialized beverage. This move marks a major milestone for Spice Islands Industries as it expands its footprint into the high-growth functional wellness segment.

In the partnership structure, Spice Islands Industries Ltd will hold a 60% stake in the funding, extraordinary allocations, and net profits generated by the venture. The Peace Mission Private Limited holds the remaining 40% stake.

The joint venture is overseen by a Joint Management Committee (JMC) composed of three nominated representatives from each company to manage strategic matters. Fundamental actions such as alterations to profit sharing ratios, introduction or modification of proprietary product formulations, or changes to brand identity require unanimous written approval from both corporate entities.

The Peace Mission Private Limited is represented in the partnership by its director, Dr. Huzaifa Habil Khorakiwala, who is noted as a promoter family member of Wockhardt Limited, a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology major.

The initial product line is planned as a standard 210 ml fortified functional wellness beverage designed to support hydration, nutrition, and health wellness. The proposed functional formulation will include Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Spirulina, and Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS).
