The company reported significant year-on-year growth across its key financial metrics.

The company achieved its highest ever revenue, growing 35% year-on-year (YOY) to Rs. 2430 Million. Profit After Tax (PAT) demonstrated robust growth, increasing 101% YOY to Rs. 330 Million.

Key Operational Highlights​

Operationally, SWPEL reported achieving the largest single order exceeding INR 307 Crores from a prominent group. The company also noted that its present order book has reached a new height, touching the INR 581 Cr mark, ensuring smooth operations even during the monsoon season.

The firm is an accredited prospecting agency by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, for conducting prospecting operations for the exploration of coal and Lignite. Across the year, the company maintained its safety record with zero injuries across all operations and managed operations in 8 states, covering 6 exploration domains.

Furthermore, the company saw a significant improvement in its capital efficiency metrics, with the Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) improving from 16% to 23% in FY-26.

Management Commentary​

Commenting on the results, Mr. Vikas Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, stated that the strong financial and operational performance was marked by an all-time high in revenue and profits. Mr. Jain highlighted that the recorded revenue of INR 2430 Mn and PAT of INR 330 Mn represented a 35% and 101% YOY growth, respectively.

Mr. Jain attributed the performance to the company's expanded footprint, strengthened client relationships, and enhanced capabilities across multiple domains of mineral exploration and drilling, even within a challenging business environment.

Regarding the future, Mr. Jain noted that the robust order book provided clear visibility in the short to medium term. He added that with increasing government focus on mineral exploration, policy reforms, and the push for self-reliance in critical minerals, the sector is strongly positioned for growth, placing SWPEL in a leading role for this transformation.

Business Scope and Operations​

SWPEL functions as an integrated service provider, offering end-to-end drilling and exploration services for natural resources, including Coal, Ferrous, Non-Ferrous & Atomic Minerals, and Conventional and non-conventional Oil & Gas, alongside ground water investigation.

The company operates 19 projects pan-India, in addition to two joint ventures (JVs) in Oman. Its activities include executing exploration at its owned coal block in Jharkhand, which holds geological reserves of over 84 million tons. The company has completed more than 165 projects over its 19-year journey.

The firm's technical capabilities include drilling approximately 3.2 million meters, 6.5 Lac meters of Geophysical logging, and conducting 515 sq.km of 3D Seismic and 411 LKM of 2D seismic surveys for the exploration of various minerals and energy sources.
