SME IPO Surge: Poojaa Precision Engg Hits Record Subscription Milestone with Bids Valued at ₹30,000 Crore

The Pune-based precision engineering firm, Poojaa Precision Engg, has witnessed an overwhelming market response to its initial public offering (IPO). The company's Rs 160-crore SME IPO attracted bids valued close to Rs 30,000 crore on the BSE SME platform, solidifying it as a major subscription success in the micro-cap segment.

Subscription Frenzy and Market Metrics

The IPO was subscribed an impressive 259.42 times, signaling robust investor confidence in the manufacturing firm's capabilities. The offering included 38.10 lakh shares to be allotted at a price band set between Rs 285 and Rs 301 per share.

Investors demonstrated massive interest, placing bids for a total of 98.85 crore shares. Based on the upper end of the price band (Rs 301), the collective value of these bids stood at approximately Rs 29,754 crore. This level of demand establishes Poojaa Precision Engg as the highest-subscribed SME IPO of 2026.

Grey Market Premium and Listing Outlook

Despite the massive subscription numbers, the grey market premium (GMP) showed a slight decline on the final day of bidding. The GMP estimate fell from around 90 percent earlier to approximately 75 percent. This suggests an anticipated listing gain that remains substantial for investors who participate in the offering.

Expanding Capacity Through IPO Proceeds

Poojaa Precision Engg is strategically leveraging the IPO proceeds to dramatically scale up its operational capabilities. The funds will be allocated toward expanding Unit III of the manufacturing facility.

The expansion plan includes adding 15,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of melting capacity and boosting component manufacturing and finishing capacity by 6,600 MTPA. Furthermore, the company intends to establish a new facility, Unit IV, dedicated to the production of magnesium-based precision components.

Financial Snapshot of Precision Engineering Firm

The company maintains a strong financial footing within its core business segments. Poojaa Precision Engg manufactures critical precision-engineered aluminium and machined components tailored for multiple high-growth sectors.

For the financial year 2025-26, the firm reported revenue from operations amounting to Rs 293.86 crore. The company also registered a profit after tax of Rs 30.90 crore, demonstrating consistent profitability despite rapid expansion plans.
