Sky Gold and Diamonds Profit Soars 141% as Jewellery Demand Surges; Stock Gains Over 9% on Strong Q1 Results

Shares of Sky Gold and Diamonds rallied sharply in early trading, gaining 9.53% to reach ₹787.80. The significant rally followed the release of the company’s robust financial results for the first quarter of FY27, demonstrating substantial growth across revenue, net profit, and operating metrics.

The jewellery manufacturer's strong performance is attributed to sustained demand for value-added products and a growing shift toward organised jewellery retail channels. This Q1 result signals effective operations management as the company continues scaling its manufacturing footprint within the competitive industry landscape.

Stellar Financial Performance Highlights Growth Trajectory

Sky Gold and Diamonds reported dramatic improvement in profitability. The company's net profit surged by 140.7% year-on-year (YoY), reaching ₹104.9 crore from ₹43.6 crore in Q1FY26, representing nearly a 2.4-fold increase.

Revenue also saw considerable growth, rising 77.9% YoY to ₹2,012.8 crore, up from ₹1,132 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating efficiency remained high, as EBITDA increased by 119.6% YoY to ₹156.7 crore compared to ₹71.4 crore in Q1FY26.

Management Focuses on Design-Led Consumption and Efficiency

Mangesh Chauhan, Managing Director of Sky Gold and Diamonds, commented that the jewellery industry is undergoing a fundamental shift toward design-led consumption and increased reliance on organised players. He stated that Sky Gold is strategically poised to capitalize on this transition due to its strong retailer relationships and manufacturing agility.

The management highlighted disciplined execution and operating efficiencies as key drivers for margin improvement in Q1FY27. The company continues to benefit from a healthy demand for lightweight, versatile, and value-added jewellery offerings.

Furthermore, Sky Gold emphasized the impact of its asset-light manufacturing model. Improvements derived from its advanced-gold business and shorter export receivable cycles have enhanced capital efficiency. The company also confirmed achieving positive operating cash flow during the quarter. Looking ahead, management set a FY27 revenue target exceeding ₹8,100 crore.

Institutional Buying Fuels Investor Confidence

The sharp earnings growth has attracted increased institutional participation in Sky Gold and Diamonds. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) significantly raised their stake, increasing their holding from 1.20% to 2.79% during the quarter.

Mutual Funds also reinforced their conviction, raising their holdings from 10.33% to 11.03%. This heightened institutional interest reflects strong confidence in the company’s operational strength and market positioning within the segment. The stock currently commands a market capitalisation of approximately ₹11,141 crore.

Technical Analysis Signals Strong Underlying Momentum

From a technical standpoint, Sky Gold and Diamonds maintains a dominant uptrend. The stock is trading above all 8 key Simple Moving Averages (SMAs), which indicates powerful underlying momentum in the share price.

However, the company's strong results follow a period of robust gains. Shares have risen approximately 45% over the last three months and gained around 25% in the past month alone. The stock has delivered a staggering 152% return over the past year, though its current 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 71.2. An RSI above 70 suggests the stock may be entering an overbought territory, potentially inviting profit booking or short-term consolidation.
