Garuda Shares Surge Over 10% as Q1 Net Profit Jumps 48%​

Garuda Construction and Engineering saw a massive rally on Monday after announcing a robust set of earnings for the June quarter. The stock demonstrated strong investor confidence, jumping over 11 percent in intraday trading. It reached an intraday high of Rs 200.50 per share on the NSE before settling at Rs 195.43, up 8.27 percent around 11:30 am, amid profit booking.

Record-Breaking Net Profit Drives Stock Rally​

The sharp uptick in Garuda’s share price followed the declaration of its first-quarter results, which highlighted significant operational improvements. The company reported a net profit that surged by 48.2 percent during the June quarter of FY27. This substantial rise brought the net profit to Rs 41.5 crore, compared to Rs 28 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue and EBITDA See Significant Growth​

Operational performance across the board showed strong momentum for the construction firm. Revenue increased by 40 percent during the quarter under review. The company posted Rs 175.4 crore in revenue, which was a considerable jump from Rs 125.2 crore recorded a year ago.

Improved Margins Highlight Efficiency Gains​

The rise in profitability was mirrored by a significant increase in operational efficiency metrics. EBITDA rose sharply by 54 percent, reaching Rs 56.1 crore. This is up from Rs 36.4 crore achieved in the previous year-ago period. The strong performance allowed the EBITDA margin to stand at 32 percent for the current quarter, improving from the 29.1 percent recorded previously.
