Sharika Enterprises Secures Subcontract for UPCL's Ganga Corridor SCADA-ADMS Modernization​

Sharika Enterprises Limited, a provider of smart infrastructure solutions in the power sector, has been awarded a key subcontract for the deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). This project is part of the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited's (UPCL) major Ganga Corridor power distribution modernization initiative.

The ambitious project is being executed under the Government of India's Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), with East India Udyog Limited (EIUL) serving as the lead contractor. Sharika’s scope involves supplying and installing, alongside Functional Management System (FMS), various key equipment including RTUs, FRTUs, FPIs, and SCADA-OMS-DMS infrastructure.

Transforming Grid Infrastructure​

The modernization effort spans the major urban centers of Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. The objective is to transform the region's power distribution network through the implementation of an integrated SCADA-ADMS platform. This system combines core functionalities of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distribution Management System (DMS), and Outage Management System (OMS).

This achievement marks Sharika Enterprises' strategic entry into India's rapidly expanding SCADA-ADMS market segment, a critical component driving the digital transformation of the national power distribution sector. By utilizing advanced grid automation and intelligent network management technologies, Sharika aims to build a smarter, more resilient, and responsive electricity distribution ecosystem.

The comprehensive solution is designed to provide utilities with enhanced operational capabilities, including real-time network visibility, intelligent monitoring and control, faster fault identification and restoration, and improved power quality. The implementation is expected to strengthen overall grid reliability, optimize asset utilization, and support data-driven decision-making for utility operators.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Sanjay Verma, CEO of Sharika Enterprises Limited, stated that the project represents a significant milestone. He noted that the award reflects the company's growing capabilities in grid automation, digital utility solutions, and smart infrastructure, confirming its formal entry into the SCADA-ADMS segment.

Sharika acknowledged the support received from East India Udyog Limited (EIUL) and its technology partner, Spin Engenharia of Brazil. The collaboration is focused on developing an indigenous ADMS platform, aligning with the Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative.
