BSE Limited Announces Key Leadership Changes, Appoints Executive Directors​

BSE Limited announced several key personnel changes following the Board of Directors meeting held on June 2, 2026. The Board approved the appointment of Shri Gopalan S. Raghavan as Executive Director for Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management and Investor Grievance (Vertical-2), and appointed Ms. Geetha Gangadharan as the new Chief Regulatory Officer.

In a separate matter, the Board also accepted the resignation of Ms. Kamala Kantharaj from her role as Chief Regulatory Officer and approved her redesignation. Furthermore, the company shortlisted names for the post of Executive Director for Vertical 3, which are being recommended to the Securities and Exchange Board of India for approval.

The Board approved the appointment of Shri Gopalan S. Raghavan to the position of Executive Director – Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management and Investor Grievance (Vertical-2). His tenure is effective from June 18, 2026, until he attains the age of Sixty-Five (65) years.

Regarding senior management roles, Ms. Geetha Gangadharan was appointed as Chief Regulatory Officer (Compliance Officer under SECC Regulations), and designated as Key Management Personnel and Senior Management. Her tenure starts on June 5, 2026, and continues until she attains the age of Sixty (60) years.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kamala Kantharaj submitted her resignation as Chief Regulatory Officer (Compliance Officer under SECC Regulations). Her resignation was accepted, and she has been redesignated as Chief Special Duty (Key Management Personnel and Senior Management) effective June 5, 2026. She will continue to report to the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer until her last working day on August 26, 2026.

Previously, he served as Executive Director (and Interim Managing Director) at National Securities Depository Limited and has held leadership roles at CLSA India and OTC Exchange of India.

Ms. Geetha Gangadharan is a legal professional bringing over 30 years of experience in regulatory enforcement, policy advocacy, and litigation management across various financial sectors. She holds LL.M. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Calicut and has completed international regulatory programs at institutions including Harvard Law School. Her professional background includes serving at the Securities and Exchange Board of India, where she led enforcement functions, and working with the Reserve Bank of India and the Central Bank of the UAE.
