Adobe Appoints Shamik Basu as Vice President, Creative Products Group in India​

New Delhi, March 23, 2026Adobe announced the appointment of Shamik Basu as Vice President, Creative Products Group in India. Basu will lead Adobe India’s engineering and product management teams, reporting to Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer, Creative Products Group.

With over 8,000 employees across four campuses, India is Adobe's second-largest workforce globally, contributing more than a third of the company’s innovation agenda.

In his new role, Basu will join the Adobe India leadership team, focusing on driving innovation and growth in India.

“India is a priority market for Adobe and key to advancing intelligent, creator-first experiences at scale. Our India engineering and product teams drive critical innovation across Pro Design, Digital Imaging, Video, and Firefly, while bringing deep insight from one of our fastest-growing AI markets,” said Ely Greenfield.
Basu brings over 30 years of experience in building large-scale, intelligent software platforms, most recently at Microsoft, where he led performance, reliability, and AI-powered innovations for users worldwide.

He will work closely with global teams on products including Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere, and other creative tools, strengthening local leadership and global alignment to power Adobe’s next phase of growth.

Since establishing operations in India in 1997, Adobe has grown into a strategic hub encompassing product engineering, design, sales, customer experience, and corporate functions, driving innovation in creativity, productivity, and personalized customer experiences.
