Bengaluru: Shadowfax, a fast-growing third party logistics company in India, has announced its Q1 FY27 performance, achieving record revenue and profitability despite a challenging operating environment. The company reported that total revenue reached ₹1,358 Cr, marking a 64.9% year over year (YoY) growth. Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 4.9%, while Profit After Tax (PAT) hit an all time high of ₹65 Cr.

This result follows five consecutive quarters of maintaining 60% plus revenue growth, indicating a positive synergy between expanding growth and improving margins at the company.

Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights​

Shadowfax recorded its highest ever quarterly revenue of ₹1,358 Cr. The performance in Q1 FY27 was driven by strong growth across key verticals: express parcel and hyperlocal deliveries.

Technology and Network Expansion Drive Growth​

Shadowfax continues to leverage technology and infrastructure investment to support its scaling efforts. Recent advancements include:

  • Digital Platforms: Shadowfax 360, a self serve digital shipping platform for SMEs, is currently serving over 1,200 transacting SMEs in Q1 FY27.
  • AI Integration: The Delivery Partner Buddy AI copilot handles approximately 16,000 rider conversations daily, achieving about 97% resolution without human intervention.
  • Loss Prevention: Vision AI at pickup is capturing roughly 40% of mismatched reverse pickups at the customer level, operating at a cost significantly lower than frontier models.

To fuel future expansion, Shadowfax executed its largest network capacity addition in company history. The company reached 16,372 pin codes this quarter, which represents almost eight new pin codes per day. With over 53 lakh square feet of operational space and 5,095 touchpoints, the company is extending its reach into smaller towns and villages across India.

During the quarter, Shadowfax invested approximately ₹60 Cr in capital expenditure (capex) to strengthen national infrastructure by expanding the last mile network and enhancing sort centre automation and capacity.

Management Commentary​

Abhishek Bansal, Co founder and CEO of Shadowfax, commented on the results, stating that Q1 was "the best quarter yet" and the most profitable in the company's history. He noted that growth momentum is continuing, even while the company increased its operational capacity and opened more pin codes than in any previous quarter.

Bansal added that the existing capacity is poised to handle future demand, enabling Shadowfax to scale "deeper into Bharat, faster on service and stronger on margins," positioning it as one of India's largest logistics companies.

Shadowfax Technologies surges as of 1:09 PM, with shares climbing to ₹237.7 after a strong rally in live trading. The equity continues its powerful ascent, having hit its 52-week high and maintaining robust intraday momentum while trading within the range of ₹219.72 to ₹246.8.
