Senco Gold Posts Strong Q1 FY27 Performance; Consolidated Revenue Jumps 67% Year Over Year

Senco Gold Limited has announced a robust performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), reporting consolidated revenue growth of 67% year-over-year (YoY) to Rs 3,056 Cr. The company also reported that retail sales increased by 50% YoY, maintaining a strong Single Store Sales Growth (SSSG) rate of 39% YoY.

The results reflect the continued trust customers place in the brand across India and Dubai. Senco Gold, one of India's established jewellery retailers with an 87-plus year legacy, continues its expansion efforts. The company’s network expanded to 209 showrooms as of June 30, 2026, after opening a net eight new showrooms during the quarter (four COCO, four FRN, and one Sennes showroom).

Consolidated Financial Overview

The financial snapshot shows significant top-line growth alongside operational shifts. Consolidated EBITDA grew by 16% YoY to Rs 213 Cr, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 7.0%. Profit after Tax (PAT) increased to Rs 101.1 Cr, marking a 3.3% PAT margin.

The company reported that standalone sales surged by 65% YoY to Rs 3,006.7 Cr, supported by festive and summer wedding demand, despite market headwinds such as rising custom duty from 6% to 15%. Retail sales grew by 50% YoY to Rs 2,651.5 Cr across both Organized retail channels (COCO) and Franchise Organized retail channels (FOCO/FOFO).

A significant operational aspect highlighted was the role of the old gold exchange campaign. The '0% deduction' initiative supported 43% of total sales quantity, helping customers upgrade their jewellery while moderating the impact of increasing gold prices.

Diamond Jewellery and Market Resilience

Demand remained resilient despite an increase in average gold prices by approximately 61% YoY and 1% QoQ (Average Gold Price at Rs 15,280 per gram). Diamond jewelry sales demonstrated strong growth, with sales increasing by 43% YoY and volume terms rising by 18%. This growth was attributed to demand across sub-50k ranges in the Everlite collection.

Mr. Suvankar Sen, Managing Director & CEO of Senco Gold Ltd, commented on the performance, noting that consolidated revenue increased 67% YoY due to continuous customer trust and broad-based demand during the festive and wedding seasons, even as average gold prices saw a sharp increase. He added that the old-gold exchange supported 43% of sales quantity in their effort to promote gold recycling and facilitate customer upgrades amid elevated metal costs.

Management Outlook and Strategy

Mr. Sanjay Banka, Group CFO & Head IR, elaborated on the consolidated profitability, stating that the margin movement reflects discounting, gold price fluctuations partly offset by the custom duty increase, and a better product mix. The company continued to work toward optimizing inventory efficiency, resulting in a reduction of Rs 300 Cr in quarterly inventory value.

Looking ahead, management reaffirmed a commitment to FY27 value growth exceeding 20%, targeting an EBITDA margin between 7.5% and 7.8%. The company is focused on disciplined, profitable pan-India expansion, particularly in East and North India. Furthermore, the introduction of Aham Ti22, a new Titanium jewelry range for men, was announced as part of continuous design innovation efforts.
