SEBI Launches New Videos to Demystify Corporate Bond Market, Boost Investor Awareness

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has significantly ramped up its efforts to deepen understanding of the corporate bond market. Collaborating with various Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) and other market intermediaries, SEBI launched two new specialized investor awareness videos today. These resources are designed to enhance market literacy among investors.

The launch event focused on promoting greater familiarity with fixed-income instruments. The new video content specifically addresses crucial areas of the bond ecosystem. It provides clarity on understanding credit rating systems. Furthermore, it demystifies the concepts of 'dirty price' versus 'clean price' within corporate bonds.

Deepening Investor Knowledge in the Bond Segment

SEBI’s initiative reflects a continuous commitment to strengthening market fundamentals. The launch occurred as part of an ongoing drive to improve stakeholder engagement and issuer outreach. This concentrated effort is aimed at making the complex world of corporate bonds more accessible to participants.

Shri Amarjeet Singh, WTM at SEBI, along with Shri K. V. R. Murthy, WTM, were present during the launch. Their participation underscored the regulatory focus on investor education. These videos represent a tangible step toward market maturity.

Comprehensive Video Series Details

The release of these two new videos brings the total awareness campaign to eight educational resources. This series is part of a sustained effort that began earlier this year. Previous initiatives included four videos launched on February 4, 2026. Two additional videos were introduced during an Issuer Outreach Programme held in Mumbai on June 12, 2026.

The dedicated investor awareness videos are now available online. Interested parties can access the collection at the SEBI Investor website. The materials are categorized under 'Video Based Learning Modules' and 'Bonds,' providing comprehensive educational modules.
