Satin Growth Alternatives Limited (SGAL), the youngest subsidiary of Satin Creditcare Network Limited (SCNL), has announced the First Close of its women-led Category II Alternative Investment Fund. This milestone was reached within four and a half months of the fund’s establishment, demonstrating strong investor confidence in the firm’s investment thesis and its commitment to impact and inclusion.The fund is strategically focused on supporting India's 'Missing Middle,' providing structured, quasi-debt and equity-linked capital to growth-stage businesses. SGAL aims to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns by offering credit-led downside protection while participating in the equity upside of high-growth enterprises.
The investment strategy emphasizes women-led ventures, sustainability, and inclusive development, working to bridge the financing gap beyond traditional debt or equity. SGAL is further leveraging SCNL’s extensive distribution reach, which assists in the physical verification and topline push of the investee companies.
The fund has garnered commitments from a diverse pool of investors. These commitments include HNIs, institutional investors, and industry leaders, such as Blueboard, Paisalo, Nupur Recyclers Limited, Tomorrow's India, SCNL, a Partner at Dua Associates, and the CEO of a leading MFI.
