
Rane Reports Resilient Q1 FY27 Results; Revenue Up 18.8%, Net Profit Jumps 62.5% YoY
Chennai, India, August 05, 2026: Rane (Madras) Limited (NSE: RML; BSE Code: 532661) today announced its consolidated financial performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), which ended on June 30, 2026. The results reflect a strong operational period across key business segments.The company recorded Total Revenue of 1,050.6 Crores in Q1 FY27, compared to 884.4 Crores in Q1 FY26, marking an increase of 18.8%. Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBITDA) reached 95.8 Crores, up from 78.5 Crores in the prior year quarter, representing a 22.0% growth. Profit After Tax (PAT) saw a significant jump, achieving 30.1 Crores against 18.5 Crores recorded in Q1 FY26, an increase of 62.5%.
The rise in profitability was partly attributed to cost competitive borrowings, which led to a 9.2% year-on-year decline in finance costs during the quarter. Rane also noted that EBITDA Margin stood at 9.1% for Q1 FY27, improving from 8.9% in Q1 FY26, as operational initiatives managed inflationary pressures stemming from the West Asian crisis.
Operational Highlights and Strategic Moves
The company experienced robust growth across all customer segments during the quarter. Sales to Domestic OE customers grew by 13%, driven mainly by increased offtake within the passenger vehicle and farm tractor segment. International sales demonstrated strength, increasing by 24% thanks to strong off-take of steering products. Furthermore, sales in the Indian Aftermarket increased by 28%.In other business developments, Rane (Madras) Limited entered into a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the Friction Business of Hindustan Composites on a slump sale basis. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the current quarter, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. During the quarter, the company also secured new business with an estimated Lifetime Value of 2,040 Crores.
The Board of Directors approved the un-audited financial results (standalone and consolidated) for Q1 FY27 based on recommendations from the Audit Committee. Furthermore, the board approved the re-appointment of M/s Jayaram & Associates, Cost Accountants, as the Cost Auditor for the financial year 2026-27.
