Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced the approval of its standalone and consolidated audited financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026, and recommended a dividend of Rs. 3.00 per equity share. The bank also approved convening its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

The Board of Directors conducted the meeting on May 5, 2026, and cleared the financial outcomes for the fiscal year 2025-26, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM.

1. Mergers and Stakes Realization:
PNB executed several amalgamations of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) during the period. Key transactions included:
  • The amalgamation of Prathama UP Gramin Bank into Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank, resulting in PNB realizing an investment of Rs. 21.18 Crore.
  • The formation of Bihar Gramin Bank through the amalgamation of Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank and Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank, for which PNB paid Rs. 668.89 Crore.
  • The formation of West Bengal Gramin Bank through the amalgamation of Bangiya Gramin Vikash Bank, Paschim Banga Gramin Bank, and Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank, involving payments totaling Rs. 282.80 Crore.

2. Loan Resolution and Provisioning:
As of March 31, 2026, the bank is holding an additional provision of Rs. 2429.77 Crore on accounts related to stressed assets. The bank also executed several loan transfers, reporting a total outstanding amount of Rs. 838.54 Crore under Co-Lending Arrangements (CLA).

The bank's total provision for non-performing assets (NPAs) remained a key focus, with provisions for Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) amounting to Rs. 906.01 Mb for the quarter.
